Shellac is a blend of gel and nail polish. Because it is like a polish, it can’t be used to extend your nail. Because it is like a gel, however, it does add strength and durability. In the long term Shellac is much less damaging to nails than traditional Gels (or Acrylics). The main benefit is that it reduces chipping.
Description
Shellac manicure is thin and flexible like polish but provides protection with a high-gloss shine that resists dullness and chipping, all without roughing up the nail plate.
Step 1: Natural nail prep. Shape your nails with a nail file, push back your cuticles. Wash and samitize your hands. Clean nail plate and remove excess oils.
Step 2: Shellac UV Base coat application. Apply one thin layer of Shellac base coat. Cure under a UV lamp for 10 seconds.
Step 3: Shellac UV color coat application. Apply one thin coat of Shella color, cure under UV lamp for 2 minutes. Apply a second coat of Shellac color, cure under UV lamp for 2 minutes again.
Step 4: Shellac UV top coat application. Apply a thin layer of Shellac UV top coat, cure under UV lamp for 2 minutes. Remove top film with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Apply cuticle oil to all fingers.
